COVID-19: Arneg is gradually returning to work

...while ensuring the health and safety of all

The Covid-19 emergency arrived suddenly and put the entire country on hold from 26 March, forcing the closure of all production activities deemed “non-essential”.

Well aware of our responsibility to the families of our over 700 employees, Arneg SpA, the world's leading name in commercial refrigeration, duly halted production despite the importance of our products to the food supply chain. Immediately after the emergency was declared, Arneg chose to prioritise the health of its workforce, customers, suppliers and stakeholders, in keeping with our founding values, which have always put people first.

Starting from 14 April, with the approach of “phase 2”, our production activities are being gradually restarted, while still guaranteeing the safety of all collaborators and respecting the Covid Protocol published by the local health authorities and agreed with representatives of the workforce.

“All those returning to work”, specifies HR Manager Armando De Crescenzo, “do so on a voluntary basis. Wherever possible, our office staff are continuing to work from home and all relevant safety measures are being respected for those coming into work.”

This means correct social distancing; the use of face masks and disinfectants; frequent cleaning of work areas; extraordinary sanitation measures based on the cold spraying of bactericides and virucidal products. Arneg is returning to work, but the safety of our people comes first.

On the subject of people, we are all facing this challenge together, nobody excluded. Hospitals and healthcare workers, of course, are in the front line. Knowing this, Arneg has donated 500,000 euros to Padua hospital to help fund local healthcare activities.

If we continue to “dream with courage, imagination, ethics and common sense”, as the Arneg vision states, we shall come out of this stronger than ever.
